Milhouse

Milhouse is a blue fawn boy who was born on 3/11/2011 and arrived on 3/15/2019 with a group of 10 dogs from Macau, China. He is a really nice boy who was one of the youngest in his group, even though he's 8! Milhouse enjoys sunning himself and being close to humans.

Hayes the greyhound is white with brindle markings
Hayes

Hayes is a 2-year-old white boy with brindle spots born on Christmas! He arrived from the Caliente racetrack in October with an injured hock that just needs time to heal. He is a large and silly boy who will be with us for an extended period while he continues to heal.

Pink the greyhound is a red fawn with black points
Pink

Pink is a red female that arrived at the kennel in April 2020 named after the recent pink super moon. Though she looked healthy enough with no injuries, she tested positive for Ehrlichia canis - an infection transmitted through tick bites. Thankfully, she shows no symptoms, and is currently being treated and she is doing well as she settles into kennel life.

Bowser the greyhound is a black greyhound with white markings on his feet
Bowser

Bowser is black male greyhound who arrived at the center in April 2020. A sleek and handsome boy, Bowser has been acclimating well to his new surroundings.

Social Fundraising

No money? No problem! There are other ways to give back to these worthy hounds without having to pull out your wallet. We have identified some ideas on how to raise funds without having to impact your pocketbook.

In the age of social media and networking, getting together can become an opportunity to raise funds and have fun while you are at it!

Many retailers and e-commerce sites such as Amazon, also support the ability to contribute funds based on doing what many of us love best - shopping!

To the right are just a few ideas that you can try. Better yet, put on your creativity hat and put the “fun” back into fundraising with ideas of your own.

Did you know you can fundraise through Facebook and ALL the proceeds go to GAC? All you have to do is create a fundraiser in Facebook and invite your friends to start giving.
Love to shop? You can raise funds while going about your usual shopping. Amazon and Ralph’s are just two retailers that have ways to contribute towards GAC based on your purchases.
Donations don’t always have to be in the form of money. We can always use flannel blankets or scrap material to make beds for our hounds. Your material is welcome!
Raising money doesn’t have to require you to dust off your sneakers. Host a game night at your home or hold a garage sale and charge a small fee. Local restaurants are also willing to contribute if you host there.
