Adopting a dog that needs a home is the right thing to do. But it’s important that you pick the right dog. For example, greyhounds are indoor dogs. Which is not to say they don’t love to sunbathe or spend time outdoors. And they, like almost all dogs, need exercise. Since they’re short-distance sprinters at the track, not long-distance runners, a couple of 30-minute walks a day will satisfy most of them.
Small apartment? Big house? Tiny patio? Big backyard? No matter, we can help you find a greyhound that’s just right for you. We are a volunteer nonprofit organization that for the last 30 years has helped thousands of families within our service area find the perfect greyhound companion.
The adoption process begins with filling out our online application. This can take up to 15 minutes, but will inform and expedite the process.
You'll be contacted by one of our placement representatives for a brief telephone interview.
A home visit will be scheduled for meeting family members and pets, and to talk about what you're looking for in a greyhound.
Our experienced team will search for greyhounds that are a good fit for you and will schedule a visit to help you find a greyhound that you will love.
